I (sometimes) fondly remember the mad dash every weekend I was home from college. There were friends to hang out with, family to visit, and two days to make it all happen. I can’t imagine planning a wedding at home while hours away at school, but that’s what Olivia and Jayson are doing! Each weekend they can make the 6 hour drive home, they have been visiting venues and meeting with everyone that goes into making a beautiful wedding happen. Our first engagement session was rained out, so it took a few weeks before Olivia and Jayson could make it back home again. I’m glad they did, because we had a great time. Some of my favorite engagement pictures came from this session, and I even have the cover image hanging on my wall now. I’m excited for their wedding this fall!We started taking pictures at a beautiful church in central Gloucester for the more “dressed up” pictures. Jayson and Olivia and both very casual people though, so after that we went to Jayson’s parents’ house. They have an old field with the remnants of a greenhouse on it, and it made for some more laid back pictures. I’m a big believer in couples having fun during their pictures. If you’re relaxing and having a good time, then you’ll look good! If having fun means playing a round of golf, having a barbecue, or just taking a walk around the neighborhood, do it. You’ll love the pictures! Update – Check out Jayson and Olivia’s wedding here!
