Orphan Helpers has a special place in my heart. My first graphic design job out of college, they are an organization with a goal that is impossible not to support. Orphan Helpers provides schooling, mentorship, counseling, and job training to orphaned, abused, and incarcerated kids in Honduras and El Salvador. Even after I no longer worked for them, I maintained close ties with them. In 2013 I had the privilege of taking Orphan Helpers on as a freelance design client. I have enjoyed designing their marketing materials and photographing their events. I’ve been able to visit Honduras twice (once with Orphan Helpers, once without), and many of my pictures are still in use in their marketing. Each year they hold a golf tournament at Fords Colony in Williamsburg, Virginia. Mason and I each took an assistant and drove the two separate golf courses to take pictures of each of the 45 teams for a thank-you postcard. We also covered the dinner and raffle after the tournament.
If you have a non-profit that needs promotional materials (whether pictures or design work), please contact me! I would love to learn more about your organization and what you’re doing to impact the world. Also, please check out Orphan Helpers!
